Obituary for Michael F Byers
Mike Byers, 58, of Rifle passed away November 18, 2011.
Mike was born April 2, 1953 in Pueblo Colorado. He lived in Denver from 1958 until 1963 when the family moved back to Pueblo. Mike's two older brothers joined the Navy, Rick in 1966, & Pat in 1967. Mike was left behind, moving with his dad from city to city. Mike earned his GED and following his brothers, joined Navy in 1971. When he left the Navy in 1973, he married. They later divorced and Mike traveled the states, spending a lot of time in Florida and Mississippi. Mike enjoyed his time in the south, but came back to Colorado in 2009 when his big brother Rick passed away, to be closer to family. Mike found work at The Smoke Shop in Rifle, and saved up enough to get his own place.
He is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and brothers Ron & Rick.
He will be missed by his nephew Shane Byers; by his brothers John Farrell & Pat Byers; and his many friends.
A Memorial Service is planned for Friday, December 2nd at 4:00p.m. at the Rifle Funeral Home.
