Obituary for Bobby LeRoy Caron

Bobbie LeRoy Caron was born in Guffy, Colorado to mother Alma Patton Caron, Father Lewis Caron and siblings Albert, Walt, Alice, Wilbur, Ellen, John, and Frank.

The family moved to Pinoche, Kansas in 1938, farming there until returning to Colorado Springs in 1950. Bob joined the Navy in 1955 on the USS Philippines and traveled the world. After his service he was in the reserves for several years.

Bob married Pauline Race Caron and lived in Colorado Springs working as a master plumber. They moved to Rifle, Colo. in 1978 to start his own plumbing and heating company. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, gold panning, reading, and telling stories to his grandkids. Bob and Pauline celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this December.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Albert, Walt, Wilbur, John; sister Ellen; and daughter Susan. Survivors include: wife Pauline Caron; sister Alice Newman; brother Frank Caron; daughter Sandy Jewell; son Chuck Caron (Lora); grandchildren Megan Jewell (Jeff), Amanda Jewell (Donnie), Jacey Jewell, Kacey Caron, Ty Caron, Jamie Caron, Kinzie Caron, Nathan Corley, Taylor Corley; and great-grandkids Shaylin Jewell, Ethan Apodaca and Harry Apodaca.

Services will be held at the Rifle Funeral Home on Friday the 6th of January, 2012. Viewing will be from noon to 1 p.m. with the service starting at 1 p.m.
