Crystal B. Anderson of Rifle, Colorado, died peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones, after a courageous battle with mesothelioma. She was 79.
 
Preceded in death by her husband, Eugene.
 
Survived by sister Barb Warmuth (Richard) and brother John Bovitz (Judy); sons Brad Ballinger (Marcia) and Stew Ballinger (Kathy); stepchildren Pam Cheney (John), Connie Weis, Joel Anderson, Jim Anderson (Brenda), Paul Anderson (Lisa), and Jane Carr (Joel); and 15 grandchildren.
 
Crystal was born in Calumet, MN, and lived most of her adult life in Fridley, MN, until she and Gene retired to Rifle. She led an active church life, and delighted in volunteering both at church and in the community. She also enjoyed traveling to Europe and Asia in her retirement. Crystal will be missed by family and friends in Minnesota and Colorado.
 
A funeral service will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Rifle on Saturday, December 3, at 11:00 a.m.
