Josephine "Jo" Diaz

Josephine "Jo" Diaz was called to her heavenly home on July 20, 2012.  Jo was born in Rifle on January 6, 1929 and was a lifetime resident.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, ray & Anne Urban; her brothers Abe & Pete; and her only child Teddy.
 
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Ted Diaz; sisters Rosie McLearn & Tina Wynn; and many nieces & nephews.
 
Jo graduated from Rifle High School and was a teacher's assistant in the elementary schools for many years.
 
Rosary was held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rifle on Monday, July 23 at 7:00 pm.
 
Funeral Mass will be at St. Mary's on Thursday, July 26 at 10:00 am.
 
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2:00 pm at Rifle High School in the Commons Room.  A potluck will follow.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society.
