Obituary for Virginia Ann Candelaria

In Loving memory of Virginia Ann Candelaria
October 19, 1955- September 14, 2012
 
Born to Vivian and Jake Candelaria in Durango, CO;  Surrounded by family and friends she passed peacefully.
 
She is survived by her beloved husband Mariano, brothers, Jake and Robert Candelaria, adoring nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews and cherished by many friends.
 
Preceded in death by parents Jake and Vivian Candelaria, sisters, Viola, Dorothy, Catherine and brothers David, James and Wilfred Candelaria
 
Virginia graduated from Boulder High School  Denver, CO; MBA   Management -  College of Santa Fe, Santa Fe, NM; BS International Finance - Metropolitan State College, Denver, CO; Employed by Pitkin County of Aspen as Use Tax Auditor.
 
Virginia has been an Aspen resident since 1993. She was an active member of the Crossroads Church of Aspen. Volunteering her time and talents to cook on Sunday evenings at Elements Service. She enjoyed participating in all the events in our community and could regularly be seen riding her red 3-wheel bike through town. She will be remembered as a kind, loving and devoted friend.
 
Honoring Virginia’s wishes her ashes will be released in Aspen on Saturday, September 29, at the top of Aspen Mountain with Teaching and Directional Pastor Steve Woodrow of Crossroads Church officiating.  Please join us at 1 p.m.
