Long time resident of Rifle and beloved friend, sister, aunt, mother and grandmother, Clara Cross, passed away peacefully in her home on October 30th, 2012.

Clara grew up on Porcupine Creek on her parent's ranch, worked many years providing care for the residents at the E. Dene Moore Nursing Home, and was especially known and loved for years by so many who enjoyed her singing and guitar playing at numerous country western venues in the area. While recognized and admired for her musical talent and knack for entertaining, Clara is also well remembered for her limitless generosity. She was always ready to lend a helping hand when needed and never turned away anyone in need from her door. Her kindness, charity and sweet nature will be much missed.

Clara was preceded in death by husband, Billy Cross, and brothers, Bill and Jack Eaton. She is survived by her son and his partner, Darrell Cross and Stacy Bradley, granddaughter, McKayla Cross, brother, Bob Eaton, sister, Jill Rich, and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Clara's life will be held Sunday, November 4th, 2 pm, at the Rifle Senior Center.
