Obituary for Ralph Byron Vaughan
Ralph B. Vaughan, 92, of Rifle left this earthly world behind and went to join his beloved wife of 68 years, Faith F. Vaughan, on November 24, 2011.
Ralph was born May 13, 1919 in Canada. He married Faith F. Westwood on June 7, 1943 in Chelmsford, England. Ralph served his country in the Canadian Army during WWII. After the war, the family moved to the United States. Ralph was a wonderful husband and father. He will be missed greatly and loved eternally.
Ralph was preceded in death by the love of his life, Faith; his parents Percival H. & Mabel (Furneaux) Vaughan; and his sister Edith.
He leaves behind his son Paul R. Vaughan; daughters Paula J. Kellaway and Denise D. Larson; brother Robert J. Vaughan; sister Betty Ames; grandchildren Nicole, Coryn, Travis, Shannon, Chris; and great-grandchildren Rylan, Sebastian, Taylor, Tori, Austyn, Trent, Abigail and Alessandra.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Alpine Hospice, 1517 Blake Avenue, Suite #100B, Glenwood Springs, CO 81601
A private family service was held Monday, November 28 at Rose Hill Cemetery. A public memorial service is being planned for a later date.
