Crystal was born and raised in the small Iron Range town of Calumet as I was. I got to know her when she and Gene moved back after her father died. She was a faithful member of our Calumet Community Church during that time, and I looked forward to visiting with her every Sunday. I admired her adventurous spirit. She loved to travel even as her eyesight diminished. I corresponded with her off and on after she moved back to Colorado when Gene died. I will miss her.
